I’ve been kinda sorta wanting to start a more personal blog for months now, but with so many things happening in my life the last year or so, I just never quite seemed to find the time.

I figure with the start of a new year, now’s as perfect a time as any to devote a little more time to myself, and getting some of my random and crazy thoughts out of my brain will probably do me some good.

So here I am.

Oh, wait… you’re probably wondering just who “I” is… ha.

I’m Michelle. I’m thirty-something and I live just outside of LA in beautiful, sunny Southern California.  I’m married, with three fur kids, and no human kids yet, and I’m okay with that most of the time, but I still really can’t wait to have a human one… preferably soon, but I’m willing to wait for whenever God decides I’m ready for one.

Was that too much information for our first chat?

Well, I tend to have a problem oversharing, so you’ll just have to get used to that.

I normally blog over at Ya Gotta Have a Hobby, where I share crafts and recipes and DIY projects and style ideas. I started it as a little corner where I could share my world, but it’s kind of grown (beyond my wildest dreams, really), and it’s not really a place where personal stories and little rambling essays have a place anymore.

Not that I mind, no, not at all–it’s just I don’t think my ramblings about how much I hate the word “basic,” or how wonderful Chipotle burrito bowls are, or how much I really miss gluten sometimes and just want to cover myself in ranch dressing and french bread (true story) are really things that people looking for recipe and craft tutorials want to read about.

So here I am. And here you are. (Well, at least I’d like to pretend you are there… or someone is there… maybe just one someone, even?)

I hope you’ll stick around and share in my randomness. I’ll try to be entertaining.
